Trash Pickup
Trash and recyclables are picked up every Thursday, with the exception of Federal Holiday weeks when trash pickup is delayed to Friday. Trash and recyclables should be placed on the curb no earlier than 3:00 pm the day before pickup and no later than 7:00 am on pickup day.

Romanelli West Dumpster Days
Each spring and fall, the Romanelli West Homes Association typically provides dumpsters for neighborhood bulky item pickup. Keep an eye out on our calendar page for scheduled days, which typically occur in May and October.
Leaf and Brush Pickup
While the city does provide two leaf and brush pickups each year, many residents choose to utilize private services that pick up curbside once a week. Here are two companies that offer the service in Romanelli West:

Snow Removal
Romanelli West contracts for snow removal when accumulation reaches 2 inches. It's important to remove all vehicles from the street during a snow event to allow the plows to completely remove the snow.
Residents are responsible for removing snow on sidewalks in a timely manner after a snowstorm. Not only is it a Kansas City ordinance, it's something good neighbors do to keep the sidewalks safe for walkers.
