Our Neighborhood
The Romanelli West Homes Association was founded in 1951 and services 330 homes in the Meyer Circle and Romanelli West subdivisions of Kansas City, Missouri. The association is bordered on the east and west by Ward Parkway and State Line Road, and runs from 64th Terrace to Gregory Boulevard.
Kansas City real estate developer J.C. Nichols admired the sculptures of the Raffaello Romanelli Studio in Florence, Italy after which he named the subdivision and our association. See photos from the State Historical Society's JC Nichols archive housed at the UMKC Library.
Homes in Romanelli West are situated on large tree-shaded lots with wide streets, and are surrounded by 46 statuaries incorporated into corner landscaping and islands. We have an active homeowners association with various social activities throughout the year.
There is one park in the neighborhood - Arno Park – which is maintained by Kansas City's Parks & Recreation Department.
