About Us

Romanelli West Homes Association was founded in 1951 and established as the gateway between Mission Hills, Kansas and Ward Parkway.  Membership in the association goes with the title of your property. It’s basic purpose is to maintain property values by encouraging residents to make their homes and yards as attractive as possible, and foster closer neighborhood relations. The association also oversees the maintenance of islands and statuary along Ward Parkway, State Line Road, Wyoming and other common open spaces. We contract for other services including snow removal, security patrols by off-duty Kansas City police officers and street tree trimming. There is one park in the neighborhood - Arno Park – which is maintained by Kansas City's Parks & Recreation Department, and the city-owned “annex” park on Ward Parkway between 68th Terrace and 69th Street with statuary and grounds maintained by our Association and Kansas City Parks & Recreation.
